Absolutely Amazing!

I contacted Jillian to see about having her put on a brunch for Mothers day.  From the beginning the entire interactions with Jillian was professional.

The meal was a brunch that was yummy…we had eggs, 2 different kinds of french toast, bacon, sausage, and home potatoes.  The food was superb.

There were 11 people that were served family style and all the linens, condiments, food, cooking vessels were provided by Jillian.

I was a little hesitant to have a stranger come over and cook for all the moms on Mother’s Day of all days but we had the BEST Mother’s Day brunch we’ve ever had.  Jillian was wonderful to work with and her food was excellently prepared.

Given it to do again…I’d do it exactly the same.  When we have an opportunity to have a Chef come out, Jillian will get the first call.

Jillian is everything I had hoped for and more.  I cook.  I LOVE to cook.  I am a good cook .  (Like many of you reading this…!)   I graduated from Cornell’s Hotel School.  But this particular event was more than I wanted to tackle – a relatively formal Lenox and Waterford dinner for 10.  I wanted to spend time with my guests – not in the kitchen.

Jillian exceeded my expectations in every way.  From the first pre-planning meeting where we talked about menu ideas, to changing the menu a couple days before our dinner when I was told by a guest she could not eat what I had planned (roasted pork loin), to helping serve, to being a gracious sport as everyone asked about her background while we were eating.

OH – AND THE FOOD…..perfect in every detail.  The presentation was delightful.  The flavors, seasonings and portions – perfect! Everyone oohed and ahhed and I did too – because I was able to join my guests and not even think about what was going on in the kitchen.  Jillian buys all the food, brings all of her own equipment to prep and cook everything. And cleans up at the end of the meal.

And she does it all with a touch of humbleness (not a trait of most cooks/chefs!), thoughtfulness and genuine care that it all comes off well!

I have been using Jillian the past few months now as my personal chef.  Every Tuesday she arrives with all her equipment and groceries, ready to get to work.  I can’t tell you how good the house smells on Tuesday from the aroma of all the food she makes.
She has been very responsive to my families dietary needs as well as our taste buds.  She prepares a menu filled with variety and great taste.  She has also been more then happy to take my request for certain meals.  After she prepares each meal she packages them in vacu-seal bags to keep the food fresh but it also makes it super easy to warm the food.
The food has been great but what is best about Jillian is that she is excited about her job and her food.  She has lots of passion that comes out in her food, and she is excited about what she does.  I highly recommend that you hire Jillian if you are looking for a chef.

Jillian just left and I had to post a review while everything is fresh in my mind. She was great! She helped me make a tough situation into a great and memorable night.

Jan 19th is my girlfriend’s birthday. Unfortunately during a run on 1/11 my girlfriend broke her ankle. After a few days of contemplating and coming to terms with the situation, all birthday plans were cancelled. I was not about to let this birthday be spent at home feeling down because of a bum ankle, so I contacted Jillian. She confirmed her availability and we quickly agreed on a menu.

Fast forward to today. She showed up a few hours early and soon after our house smelled so great. We knew we were in for a treat. All 4 courses she served were delicious. Everything cooked and prepared perfectly.

Prices were fair and Jillian herself is very nice and personable. I was kinda concerned that it would be odd having smebody I don’t know over and cooking, but she was so nice that it was a complete non issue.

I will be telling all my friends and anybody who might need a service like hers about how much we enjoyed our dinner Jillian prepared for us. I also think we will be in contact with her again to make future arrangements.

I hired Jillian to do a cooking lesson and prepare a meal for myself and six girlfriends for my bachelorette party.  It was a WONDERFUL experience.  From the beginning Jillian was incredibly responsive and accommodating – a rarity today I have come to find in all this wedding planning.  She planned a great menu, did all the shopping, and even printed out menus for us.

As we were planning she suggested we do a lesson around appetizers which we could then enjoy while she prepared our meal.  It all turned out wonderfully.  She showed up completely prepared and I did not have to worry about  a thing.  The lesson was fun and interactive and the meal she prepared was phenomenal.

I would absolutely hire Jillian again for future needs!!!
